Fresh off it’s official festival selections for the GRAFTAS 2025 and the 2025 New Lights Festival, and it’s subsequent wins for Best Film (!) and Best Production Design, I’m pleased to announce that Vajra was recently nominated for Best Sound at the Royal Television Society Student TV Awards; It has also made the official festival selection for the Dada Saheb Phalke Film Festival (one of India’s most prestigious film stages)!
I could not be prouder of the entire Vajra crew for creating such a beautiful film about mental health and the weight of responsibility, wrapped up in a unique superhero story.
Vajra is deeply rooted in Indian culture and it is amazing to see it be recognised in the Indian film scene for the truly incredible film it is.
As always I would like to thank the Saltmen Productions team – especially Anarghya Kodam and Harrison Boyd for bringing me onto the project following my work with Saltmen Productions on Missed Contact. It was a blast to score this film and learn more about Indian music and culture along the way.
I feel lucky to have been a part of this sound team and the wider crew!
Also, how cool is it to have been nominated for a Royal Television Society award?! It still doesn’t feel real!
Thanks again to the whole Vajra crew and congratulations on another set of awards and nominations.
